Meet the owner - Deb

Hey Deb, how long have you been doing your craft professionally?

I have been a professional photographer for 11 years. I first started Snap Studio as just a photography company. It has since grown into so much more!

What are 3 fun facts about you? Things you enjoy doing?

1. I live on coffee. No, really! I survive on around 4-5 cups a day!
2. I once signed up for a 5k…didn’t train for it…so I ran the kids run with my niece, nephew, and daughter. WAY better than the 5k!
3. If you know me, you know I love glitter more than a grown adult should!

Why do you love what you do?
Whew, ok I am going to be VERY honest here!
My answer was very different when I first started out. I did it because I enjoyed it. I still enjoy it, but it has become a part of who I am. Yes, a camera is a part of me, it’s a part of my life. A couple of years ago I had a rather significant life change. Through that my “why I love what I do” changed in a major way. It no longer is just because I enjoy doing it. It’s because I want what is best for the couples we work with. Beyond their wedding! We get to know our couples and I desperately want them to have a healthy relationship and to help give them tools along the way and beyond their wedding. Your wedding is ONE day. ONE!! Your relationship means so much more beyond the one amazing day of celebration.

What makes YOU stand out from others in the industry doing the “same” thing?
Ha my outgoing personality. I honestly love people. I enjoy being around new people and getting to know them! I enjoy being unique and creative with my portraits. I get to work with our couples to make their visions come to life.

How would you describe your style of work?
Lifestyle, photojournalism, documentation as life happens, with a spin of unique angles. I often use very unique items in my bag to create stunning portraits.
